JUDGMENT

S.G. Chattopadhyay, J. - This suo motu public interest litigation came to be registered on the basis of newspaper reports published in various national and local dailies reporting the widespread violence which occurred in North Tripura district, Unakoti district and Sepahijala district in Tripura on 26th October, 2021.

2. On 29.10.2021, when the matter was first taken up, learned Advocate General submitted a brief note before the Court indicating various steps taken by the State Government to prevent the spread of violence and book the perpetrators of the crime. Having considered the said note of the learned Advocate General and the submissions made by him, the following order was passed by this Court on 29.10.2021:
