CALCUTTA HIGH COURT
Tirthankar Ghosh, J
Md. Unus @ Sk. Mohammad Unus – Appellant
Versus
The State of WB & Ors. – Respondent

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Ms. R. Sreemani, Mr. S. Bank
For the Respondents: Mr. Amitabrata Roy, Mr. Nilatpal Chatterjee, Mr. Shibasish Banerjee

R e Learned advocate for the applicant contends that so far as the order dated 25.09.2024 is concerned, the police authorities pursuant to the directions passed by this Court has registered three FIRs.

However, there has been violation of the order to the extent that the police authorities particularly the Superintendent of Police, Hooghly has failed to comply with the order passed by this Court on

15.02.2023 and 24.04.2023.

The police report reflects that there has been no construction at the site referred to by the petitioner and the status quo order passed by the civil court is being maintained.

Having regard to the same, I am of the view that the applicant has failed to establish any violation of the order passed by this Court. Appropriate steps be taken before the civil court having jurisdiction over the issue in respect of the accusations made. No interference is called for by this Court.

Accordingly, CPAN 909 of 2025 is dismissed.
