1. The present Consumer Complaint has been filed by Dr. (Mrs.) Mridula Rajbanshi and Ms. Suvriti Rajbanshi (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Complainants") under S.21(a)(i) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") against UMANG Realtech Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Opposite Party / Builder Co.") for failure to hand over possession of their booked apartment by the stipulated date as agreed in the Apartment Buyers' Agreement.
2. Brief facts are that on 25.03.2006, the Complainants had booked a 3 - BHK residential apartment admeasuring approximately 1653 sq. ft. with UMANG Realtech Pvt. Ltd.
