JUDGMENT
The petitioner is a Co-operative Society registered in the year 1983 and is classified as an Educational Co-operative Society. The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Thrissur (2nd respondent), to consider Ext.P4 by which a decision has been taken to sell a portion of the property belonging to the petitioner-Society. This requires approval of the 2nd respondent in terms of the provisions contained in Rule 54 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Rules , 1969.
2. Heard the learned Government Pleader also.
3. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader and having regard to the limited nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition will stand disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P4 resolution and consider whether permission can be granted to the petitioner-Society to sell any portion of the property belonging to it, subject to such conditions as the 2nd respondent may deem fit to impose. The needful shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
