JUDGMENT
This writ petition has been filed, seeking to challenge the freezing of the bank accounts of the petitioners by the respondents herein, on the basis of certain directives of Government officials/police authorities. This Court in Abdul Azeez v. Union of India [2025 (7) KHC 308], has found that the bank can freeze (debit freeze) the accounts even without notice to the account holder, if the bank is having reasons to suspect the transactions in the accounts. It has been further found that such freezing can be continued only for a period of three months, and freezing requires to be lifted in the absence of appropriate steps from the side of law-enforcing agencies. Certain directions have also been issued by this Court in paragraph Nos.27 and 28 of the afore judgment.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned counsel for the respondents.
3. I am of the opinion that this writ petition can be disposed of, in terms of the afore judgment.
