JUDGMENT

Mary Joseph, J These writ appeals are filed against the judgment dated

7.7.2016 of a learned Single Judge of this Court in W.P(C) No.37735/2015 and the judgment dated 3.4.2017 in R.P.No.810/2016 in the writ petition referred above, by virtue of which the Review Petition was dismissed and the judgment dated 7.7.2016 was confirmed.

2. The writ appeal No.996/2017 was preferred by respondents 1 to 4 and Writ Appeal No. 1550/2017 was filed by the 9th respondent, Smt.Naseema in the above writ petition.

3. The writ petition was filed by one Mrs.Abitha Beegum, the 1st respondent in the aforesaid writ appeals seeking for reliefs as extracted hereinbelow.

i) to declare that the petitioner was actually appointed as Assistant Professor in Law on regular basis in a permanent vacancy and the indication to the contray as contained in Ext.P1 notification of Ext.P2 appointment order or the renewal contracts are not sustainable in the light of Section 29 (2)(a) of the Aligarh Muslim University Act .

ii) to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to pass orders placing the petitioner as Assistant Professor in Law on regular basis in the permanent post;
