Instant revision petition has been filed by the petitioner against the order dated 22.04.2024, passed by learned Additional Session Judge, Bhilwara, District Bhilwara in Session Case No.41/2022, whereby learned trial court framed the charges against the petitioner for offence under Section 306 IPC .

Brief facts of the case are that on 28.01.2022 the complainant, Kailash gave a written report to the Police inter alia alleging therein that about three years ago, engagement ceremony of his niece Priyanka Sharma had performed with the petitioner steeming from their friendship. Subsequently, their marriage was fixed on 10.02.2022 as part of a communal marriage function. It was further alleged that complainant niece travelled to Bhilwara for shopping with her prospective in-laws, where the petitioner and his family members demanded Rs.5 lacs, upon refusal to fulfill the demand, the family members of the petitioner assaulted and threatened her to face the repercussions. On 27.01.2022, complainant’s niece committed suicide by consuming poison.
