Facts narrated by the complainant in his complaint:-
The complainant purchased a comprehensive motor vehicle insurance policy from opposite parties no.1 and 2- IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Company Limited, covering his Hyundai i20 Elite, Registration No. PB-65-AF-9243. The policy, numbered M1853811, was valid from 12/03/2021 to 11/03/2022. It was a DEP-CAP (Depreciation Waiver) Policy, offering bumper-to-bumper coverage for all types of damage, whether to iron, plastic, glass, or other materials. The only liability of the complainant under this policy was a nominal processing fee of Rs. 1,000/-. The complainant had previously enjoyed a no-claim bonus of 20% on the premium, reflecting the absence of any claims in the prior policy year.
