[1] This is an application for judicial review under O 53 Rules of 2012 (the "ROC 2012") seeking the following reliefs:-
(i) An order of Certiorari to quash the conversion of religion of AB (1) and AB (2) and the decision of the 1st and 2nd Respondents issuing the 'Kad Akuan Agama Islam' dated 11 May 2016 to AB (1) and AB (2) ("Children") respectively;
(ii) An order of Prohibition to prohibit the 2nd Respondent from registering the Children as Muallaf/Muslim under the relevant enactments;
(iii) An order of Mandamus to compel the 1st and 2nd Respondents to cancel the registration of the Children forthwith; and
(iv) Alternatively, a Declaration that the certificates of conversion to Islam are null and void.
[2] Having considered the application, this Court has allowed prayer (i) and (iii) of the application with no order as to costs.
