Introduction
The defendant, an international American corporation by the name of American International Assurance Company Ltd ("AIA"), was in the habit of issuing 120 termination notices every month to its insurance agents and there was not a single whimper nor protest from anyone of them. Every AIA insurance agent seems to be subservient and docile to AIA. It is a classic case of a master flexing its muscle to show its might notwithstanding the innocence of its servant.
Mr. Ong Chee Yong, learned counsel for the plaintiff, rightly submitted that this was a case of an outrageous behaviour of AIA. It was a case, pure and simple, of the big bullying the small; and the strong oppressing the weak. It was an oppression which manifested its ugly head for every one to see. Her
