VT Singham JC:
This was an appeal against the decision of the Sessions Court, Temerloh wherein the appellant was convicted for offences of rape on his stepdaughter on three different occasions. He was convicted and sentenced on 19 July 1995 to 15 years imprisonment and 10 strokes of the rotan on the first charge and on the second charge he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and ordered to be given 10 strokes of the rotan and both the sentences were ordered to run concurrently. On the third charge, the appellant was also sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and ordered to be given 10 strokes of the rotan and the sentence was ordered to run consecutively after the appellant had served the concurrent sentence on the first and second charges. The appellant was not satisfied with the decision of the Sessions Court and hence this appeal.
