ASSAM ACT NO. VIII OF 2021

AN ACT

to amend the Assam Education (Provincialisation of Services of Non-teaching Staff of Venture Educational Institutions) Act, 2018.

Preamble.-Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Education (Provincialisation of Services of Non-teaching Staff of Venture Educational Institutions Act, 2018, [Assam Act No. XVIII of 2018] hereinafter referred to as to the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-first Year of the Republic of India of

S.1 Short title, extent and commencement

This Act may be called the Assam Education Provincialisation of Services of Non-teaching Staff of Venture Educational Institutions) (Amendment) Act, 2020.

(2) It extends to the whole of Assam.

(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on such date as may be appointed by the State Government by notification in the Official Gazette under sub-section (3) of section 1 of the principal Act, which shall also include any notification issued by the Government to that effect before the date of commencement of this Amendment Act.

S.2 Amendment of schedule

In the principal Act, for the existing Schedule, in respect of the Degree College, the following shall be submitted, namely :-
