S.1 Short title and Commencement

       (1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand (The Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973) Adaptation and Modification Order; 2006 (Amendment) Act, 2008.
       (2) It shall come into force at once.

S.2 Insertion of new provision in place of proviso of Section 39(1)

       In sub-section (1) of section 39 of the Uttarakhand (The Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973) Adaptation and Modification Order, 2006, the following Proviso shall be inserted in the place of existing proviso, namely:
       "Provided that the State Government Notification in Gazette, may increase or decrease the aforementioned percentage in stamp duty."
