DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS TRIBUNAL RULES, 1997

R.1 .

       (1) These rules may be called the Disciplinary Proceedings (Tribunal) Rules, 1997.
        (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Orissa Gazette.


R.2 .

Save as otherwise provided in Rule 3 of these rules, the Disciplinary Proceedings (Tribunal) Rules, 1951 (hereinafter referred to as the said Rules), is hereby repealed.


R.3 .

       All cases pending before the Tribunal constituted under Rule 3 of the said rules immediately before the commencement of these rules shall stand transferred to the Commissioner for Departmental Inquiries and such cases shall be enquired into from the state at which they stood on the date of such commencement and shall be disposed of as per the provisions contained in the Orissa Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962.
Explanation - The expression Commissioner for Departmental Inquiries shall mean the Commissioner for Departmental Inquiries appointed by the Government in the General Administration Department and functioning as such under the Administrative control of the said Department.
