Andhra Pradesh Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act 1956
The learned Advocate General has reported that the Government is experiencing difficulty in filing appeals within the period of Limitation due to the time consuming process to secure funds towards court fee. To avoid this he suggested an amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1956, so as to exempt the Government from paying the Court Fees on plaints, memorandum of appearance and vakalatnamas filed by the State Government or its lawyers before any court, Tribunal or any authority. The Government have accepted the said recommendations and decided to amend the said Act of 1956 suitably by promulgating an Ordinance retrospectively from 1st May, 1992.
