In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 268 read with sub-section (1) of Section 196 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Act No.13 of 1994), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following rules relating to the Travelling Allowance, Daily Allowance and Attendance Allowance of the non official members of Zilla Parishad.

R.1 A

The non official members of Zilla Parishad shall be allowed Travelling Allowance and Daily allowance as follows for attending a meeting of the Zilla Parishad or of the Standing Committee or of a joint meeting of two or more Standing Committees.

A. Travelling Allowance for journey on other than Government Panchayat Raj Department Vehicles:

(i) By train: First Class fare.

(ii) By Car meeting propulsion Charges: Rs.2 00 (Rupees two only per Km.)

(iii) By Bus: Bus fare.

R.3 A

The Commissioner of Panchayat Raj, shall be the final authority inregard to regulation of any matter arising out of the application of these rules.

R.2 A

Claims under these rules shall be preferred within six months from the date of completion of the journey.
