A Regulation to apply the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Land Improvement Schemes (Contour Bunding and Contour Trenching) Act, 1949, and the rules made thereunder to certain Scheduled Areas in the Andhra area of the State of Andhra Pradesh; Whereas it is expedient to apply the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Land Improvement Schemes (Contour Bunding and Contour Trenching) Act, 1949 (Act XXII of 1949) and the rules made thereunder, to certain Scheduled Areas in the Andhra area of the State of Andhra Pradesh; Be it enacted in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :

Reg.1 Short Title and Extent

Short Title and Extent :- (1) This Regulation may be called the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Scheduled Areas) Land Improvement Schemes (Contour Bunding and Contour Trenching) Regulation, 1956.

(2) It extends to the whole of the scheduled Areas in the Visakhapatnam district.

Application of Act XXII of 1949, and the Rules made thereunder to the Scheduled Areas in the Visakhapatnam District :- The provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Land Improvement Schemes (Contour Bunding and Contour Trenching) Act, 1949 (Act XXII of 1949). and the rules made thereunder shall apply to the Scheduled Areas in the Visakhapatnam district.
