1. Section 1: Short title

   This Act may be called the Maharashtra Police (Amendment) Act, 2023.

2. Section 2: Amendment of section 2 of XXII of 1951

   In section 2 of the Maharashtra Police Act (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Act”), in clause (6),—
