MEGHALAYA APPROPRIATION (No. II) ACT, 1989

An Act To authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya for the services of the financial year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1990 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Meghalaya in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

S.1 Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Appropriation (No. II) Act, 1989

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of April 1989.

S.2 Withdrawal of Rs. 4,05,70,87,800 from and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya for the Financial year 1998-99

From and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in Column (3) of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate inclusive of sum specified in Column (3) of the Schedule to the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Act, 1989 to the sums of rupees four hundred five crores, seventy lakhs, eighty seven thousand, eight hundred towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the financial year ending on the thirty first day of March, 1990 in respect of the services specified in Column (2) of the Schedule.

S.3 Appropriation

The sums authorised to be withdrawn from and out of the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya by this Act, shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
