An Act further to amend the Rajasthan Urban Improvement Act, 1959, the Jaipur Development Authority Act, 1982, the Jodhpur Development Authority Act, 2009, the Ajmer Development Authority Act, 2013; and to amend the Udaipur Development Authority Act, 2023 and the Kota Development Authority Act, 2023.

S.24 Insertion of section 96-A, Rajasthan Act No. 31 of 2023

After the existing section 96 and before the existing section 97 of the principal Act the following new section shall be inserted therein, namely:-

"96-A. Supremacy of rules and Repeal of Existing Regulations.- (1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any other law or regulation for the time being in force, the rules made under this Act shall have overriding effect and shall prevail over any regulation, bylaw, or notification issued by the Authority, insofar as such regulations, bylaws, or notifications are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder.

(2) Upon the commencement of this Act and the enforcement of rules thereunder, any regulation, bylaw, or notification issued by the that is inconsistent with the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder shall stand repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
