SIKKIM LEGISLATIVE MEMBERS (PAYMENT OF PENSION AND MEDICAL ALLOWANCES), (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2024

An Act further to amend the Sikkim Legislative Members (Payment of Pension and Medical Allowances) Act, 1984. BE it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim on the Seventy-fifth Year of Republic of India as follows:-

S.1 Short title, extent and commencement

• (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Legislative Members (Payment of Pension and Medical Allowances), (Amendment) Act, 2024.
• (2) It shall come into force at once.

S.2 Substitution of reference to certain expression by certain other expression

In the Sikkim Legislative Members (Payment of Pensions and Medical Allowance) Act, 1984, throughout the Principal Act, unless otherwise expressly provided, for the words "The Sikkim Legislative Members (Payment of Pension and Medical Allowance) Act" wherever they occur, the words "The Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Payment of Pension and Medical Allowances) Act" shall be substituted.
