SIKKIM STATE UNIVERSITY (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021

An Act Further to amend the Sikkim State University Act, 2003. Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim on the Seventy-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

S.1 Short title and commencement

• (I) This Act may be called as Sikkim State University (Amendment) Act, 2021.
• (II) It shall come into force at once.

S.2 Substitution of reference to certain expression by other expression

In the Sikkim State University Act 2003, throughout the Principal Act, unless otherwise expressly provided for the words, "The Sikkim State University Act" wherever they occur, the words "Khangchendzonga State University, Sikkim Act" shall be substituted.

S.3 Repeal and Saving

• (I) The Sikkim State University (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 is hereby repealed.
• (II) Not withstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken in exercise of the power conferral by or under the ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken in exercise of the power as if this Act was in force on the day on which such thing was done or such action was taken.
