SIKKIM MINISTERS, SPEAKER, DEPUTY SPEAKER AND MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES) AMENDMENT ACT, 2000

An Act further to amend the Sikkim Ministers, Speakers, deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances Act, 1977). Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Fifty-first year of the Republic of India as follows:-

S.1 Short title and Commencement

• (i) This act may be called the Sikkim Ministers, Speaker, deputy speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Amendment Act, 2000.
• (ii) It shall come into force at once.

S.2 Amendment of section 7A

In the Sikkim Ministers, Speakers, Deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (salaries and Allowances) Act, 1977, in section 7A, sub-section (1) and (2), the words "if located within and around Gangtok" shall be omitted.
