An Act to abolish the joint family system among Hindus in the State of Kerala Preamble — WHEREAS it is expedient to abolish the joint family system among Hindus in the State of Kerala, BE it enacted in the Twenty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows — * Received the assent of the President on the 10th August 1976 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No 484, dated 17th August, 1976.
