Mustard Oil Factory Owner in Hisar Reports Brazen Nighttime Robbery

Agroha, Hisar - A shocking incident of robbery has come to light in Agroha, Hisar, where masked assailants targeted a mustard oil factory, making off with cash, oil, and electrical equipment. According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by the factory owner, Ramavtar , the incident occurred in the early hours of August 10, 2023.

Detailed Account of the Robbery

Ramavtar , a 60-year-old resident of Kaliravan, detailed the harrowing experience in his statement to the Agroha Police. He reported that he and his 35-year-old son, Anil , were sleeping in the courtyard of their factory, located near Kaliravan on the Agroha Adampur Road. Around 1:30 AM, approximately ten masked individuals infiltrated the factory premises from the unguarded east side.

The FIR states, "About 10 persons came in factory from east side of factory who were wearing masks on their mouths. All those persons caught both of us by coming. About 5 persons locked my son in the room and another 5 persons locked me also in the room."

When Ramavtar raised an alarm, he was brutally attacked. "When I raised alarm then one person out of them assaulted me with some sharp edged weapon and second one gave me injury on my eye," his statement reads. The robbers proceeded to snatch Ramavtar 's mobile phone, preventing him from immediately seeking help.

Loot and Aftermath

After subduing Ramavtar and his son, the perpetrators looted 35 bottles of mustard oil, electric transformer components, and ₹40,000 in cash from the factory counter. The FIR notes, "After that they all took 35 bottles of mustard oil, electric transformer articles and Rs. 40,000/ cash which was in the counter."

Ramavtar and Anil managed to free themselves around 4:00 AM and sought medical attention at MAMC Agroha for Ramavtar 's injuries. Following the incident, Ramavtar promptly filed the FIR, urging legal action. The FIR was attested by ASI Rohtash of PS Agroha on August 10, 2023.

Police Investigation Underway

The Agroha Police have registered a case based on Ramavtar ’s complaint and have initiated an investigation into the armed robbery. The incident has raised concerns about the security of factories and businesses in the area, and further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
