KOCHI – The Kerala High Court has ushered in a new era of technological advancement, launching a suite of significant IT initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety, improving linguistic accessibility, and streamlining judicial processes. The landmark projects, unveiled by Chief Justice Nitin Jamdar on Kerala Day, November 1, mark a concerted effort to modernize the state's judiciary and make justice more accessible to the public.

The launch, which coincided with the 70th Establishment Day of the High Court, included an online portal for sexual harassment complaints named 'SheBoX', a comprehensive Malayalam legal glossary, a state-wide e-Office system, and an AI-powered voice-to-text platform for trial courts. SheBoX: A Landmark Step for Workplace Safety

Among the most notable launches is 'SheBoX', an online complaint management system designed exclusively for female staff of the High Court to register complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace. In a powerful statement of empowerment, the SheBoX portal was developed entirely by the women developers of the High Court's IT Directorate. Addressing the critical need for linguistic accessibility, Chief Justice Jamdar formally launched 'Niyamapadakosham' (Legal Glossary). This comprehensive compilation contains 6,375 legal terms in Malayalam, meticulously prepared by the High Court to promote clarity, accuracy, and uniformity in legal terminology.

In his address, the Chief Justice emphasized the High Court's ongoing project of translating crucial judgments from both the Supreme Court and the High Court into Malayalam. He noted that the glossary would be instrumental in this process, remarking that it "would play a pivotal role in achieving linguistic consistency and precision." Furthermore, Chief Justice Jamdar officially declared the completion of the e-Office implementation across the entire judicial ecosystem of the state and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. The e-Office system facilitates completely paperless file processing, enabling the digital movement, approval, and archiving of files.
