M.P. High Court Denies Condonation of Delay in Filing Appeal

Supreme Today News Desk

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has rejected an appeal against a lower court order that dismissed a civil suit due to delay in filing. The appellant, who claimed to be illiterate and unaware of the consequences of the judgment, argued that he had sufficient cause for not filing the appeal within the limitation period. However, the court found that the appellant had not provided satisfactory reasons for the delay and had not shown sufficient cause for condonation of delay.

condonation of delay - limitation period - sufficient cause - illiteracy - unawareness of consequences - appeal - civil suit - trial court - appellate court
