2. Heard learned counsel for the parties an d perused the material placed on record .
3. A joint application (IA No.1020 of 2024) o n behalf of the appellant and respondent no.2 has bee n filed by the learned counsel for the appellan t praying for decree of divorce by mutual consen t exercising this Court's power under Article 142 o f the Constitution of India and further to quash al l civil and criminal proceedings pending between th e parties before different Courts, which are describe d in prayer clause (b) of the application .
4. The demand drafts, as already settled betwee n the parties, have been handed over today in Court b y the learned counsel for the appellant to the learne d counsel for the respondent no.2 .
5. In view of the above, that the parties hav e already settled their disputes and major obligation s have been fulfilled, we allow this application (I A No.1020 of 2024) and grant a decree of divorce b y mutual consent by exercising this Court's power s under Article 142 of the Constitution of India. W e further direct that all the proceedings mentioned i n prayer clause (b) of the application, pending befor e different Courts, shall stand quashed .
6. Apart from the obligation of paying th e amount as one time settlement and quashing th e proceedings before different Courts, one or tw o obligations further remain to be fulfilled by th e appellant, as stated in paragraph 10 of th e application, which the appellant, who is present i n the Court today, undertakes that he will duly compl y with it as agreed .
7. Registry is directed to forward a copy o f this order to the respective Courts for makin g necessary endorsements and close such cases .
8. The appeal and the pending application(s )
stand disposed of in the above terms .
