RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review Invites Submissions for Volume XIV Issue I

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL) has announced a call for papers for Volume XIV Issue I of its flagship journal, the RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR). Established in 2014, this bi-annual, student-run, double-blind peer-reviewed journal has carved a niche as a leading platform for cutting-edge research in business and commercial laws. Indexed on SCC Online, HeinOnline, J-Gate, and Manupatra, the journal is consistently ranked among the top 10 most accessed law school journals by SCC Online, reflecting its wide readership and scholarly impact.

Submission Categories and Word Limits

The journal invites contributions from legal practitioners, academics, and students across four categories: Articles (6,000–12,000 words), Short Notes (4,000–6,000 words), Case Comments (3,000–5,000 words), and Book Reviews (1,500–3,000 words). All word limits are exclusive of footnotes, and submissions must be in English. Co-authorship is limited to two authors. The Editorial Board encourages analytical submissions with concrete suggestions over descriptive ones, and plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.

Volume XIV Issue I will cover a wide array of commercial law domains, including Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Competition Law, Insolvency, Banking & Finance, Insurance, Capital Markets, Securities, Dispute Resolution, International Trade, Investment Funds, Labour and Employment, Taxation, Intellectual Property, Real Estate, Technology, Media & Telecommunication, and White-Collar Crimes. Submissions addressing contemporary developments in financial and mercantile laws are especially welcome.

A Track Record of Scholarly Impact

The RFMLR has consistently fostered academic dialogue through initiatives like the 5th Edition of the Demystifying M&A series (October 2025), the RFMLR Leadership Summit , and the 4th RGNUL-SAM Conclave on Emerging Trends in Banking & Finance (November 2024). Past collaborations with leading law firms such as Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) have drawn participation from industry professionals and students nationwide. Submission Guidelines and Deadline

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the provided Google Form by September 15, 2026. Submissions should be in .doc or .docx format, accompanied by a duly signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright. Each author may submit only one manuscript. The Editorial Board will acknowledge receipt with a manuscript code, which should be quoted in all future correspondence. The review process, including double-blind peer review, may take up to four weeks for a preliminary decision. Authors seeking expedited review for time-sensitive topics may request this.
