The South Asian University (SAU) has expelled a student, identified as the petitioner, for alleged misconduct. The petitioner, who was pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, was accused of entering the office of the Associate Dean of Students and the Director of Mathematics without permission, shouting at faculty members, and attempting to force the Acting Registrar to do certain acts. The petitioner denied the allegations and submitted a representation to the Proctor, who constituted a High Powered Committee (HPC) to consider the matter.
