In 2019, a Supreme Court bench granted the disputed land to deity Ram Lalla. The five Supreme Court judges behind the landmark 2019 verdict that awarded the land in Ayodhya - on which the Babri Masjid once stood - to the Ram Lalla, or infant Lord Ram, deity, are invited to the 'pran pratishtha', or consecration ceremony. The former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gagoi, former CJI SA Bobde, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, former SC justice Ashok Bhushan and former Justice S Abdul Nazeer had given the verdict in favour of construction of a Ram temple at a long disputed site in Ayodhya.
