Supreme Court Rejects Rajasthan High Court's Order on Power Procurement

Supreme Today News Desk

In a significant legal development, the Supreme Court of India has set aside a judgment by the Rajasthan High Court terkait to a 2009 directive involving the procurement of electricity. The case involved the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited's decision to obtain 1,000 MW of power through a competitive bidding process. The Supreme Court bench, consisting of Justices B R Gavai and P K Mishra, ruled that the High Court's directive to enforce a mandamus in the manner it did was not justified.
