( 1 ) : The subject matter of this batch of 35 appeals relates to acquisition ofland measuring Ac. 109-51 cents in R-S. Nos. 46,47, 48, 49, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61 and 62, situate in bhavanipuram, Vijayawada taluk, krishna District, for the construction of housing colony by the Andhra Pradesh housing Board.
( 2 ) ASSAILING the judgments of the learned Subordinate Judge, Vijayawada, on the ground that the compensation awarded is inadequate, the claimants in different O. Ps. filed A. S. Nos. 600, 601, 602, 603, 604, 1189, 1171, 1246, 1247, 1261, 1275, 1284, 1292, 1304, 1906, 1985, 2022, 2028, 2355, 2470 and 2656 of 1987. Assailing that the compensation awarded by the court below is too excessive, the State preferred cross-appeals in a. S. Nos. 13, 14, 1419,1506, 2334, 2338, 2346, 2354, 2799, 3190, 3233 of 1987, 686 and 2057 of 1988 and 203 of 1989. The Housing Board, on whose behalf the land was acquired, is not a partly to the acquisition proceedings. Therefore, it got itself impleaded as the second appellant in the appeals preferred by the State and as a party-respondent in the appeals preferred by the claimants.
