1. The present petitioner, i.e. Municipal Corporation of Delhi (hereinafter referred to as the petitioner-management) has preferred the present Writ Petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India assailing the validity of the impugned Award dated 10.10.2002 passed by the Presiding Officer, Labour Court No. VI, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi (hereinafter referred to as the learned Labour Court/Industrial Adjudicator) in I.D. No. 882/98.

2. The brief facts as stated by the respondent-workman in his statement of claim are that the workman, i.e. Shri Ram Milan joined the employment of the petitioner-management, i.e. Municipal Corporation of Delhi as a Chowkidar w.e.f. 11.09.1987. The respondent- workman was a monthly paid/muster roll worker and was being paid wages as fixed and revised from time to time under the Minimum Wages Act by the appropriate Government for unskilled workers. The respondent-workman was neither given any appointment letter nor any leave record was being maintained.
