1. CM APPL. 906/2025 in W.P.(C) 17973/2024 raises a grievance, as regards the selection process for the purpose of participation in the upcoming National Games to be held at Uttarakhand commencing from 28.01.2025 (hereinafter ‘the National Games’). The applicants are international players of the sport of Taekwondo and have represented India at various international tournaments. In W.P.(C) 17973/2024, the petitioner is Taekwando Federation of India (TFI), the respondent no.1 is the Indian Olympic Association (hereinafter ‘the IOA’) respondent no.2 is the Games Technical Conduct Committee (hereinafter ‘the GTCC’) and respondent no.3 is the Union of India.

It is the contention of the applicants in CM APPL. 906/2025 that a piquant situation has been created on account of the order dated 24.12.2024, passed by this Court, inasmuch as the said order interdicts with the selection process set out in a communication dated 20.12.2024 issued by the Indian Olympic Association (hereinafter ‘the IOA communication’).
3. The IOA communication contemplates that for the sport
