Dr. (Mrs.) R. Thamarajakshi, Member— Original Petition No. 124 of 1993 has been filed by Shri Prasanth S. Dhananka alleging negligence and deficiency in the service rendered by the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad represented by its Executive Registrar (opposite party 1), Dr. P.V. Satyanarayana, Professor of Cardio Thoracic Surgery (NIMS) (opposite party 2), Dr. I. Dinaker, Professor of Neurosurgery and the then Director of NIMS (opposite party 3), Dr. U.N. Das, Professor of General Medicine, NIMS (opposite party. 4), Director, NIMS (opposite party 5) and Government of Andhra Pradesh represented by Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh (opposite party 6), in the excision biopsy by thoracotomy conducted on the complainant on 23.10.1990 and the post-operative medical treatment and claiming a total compensation of Rs. 4,61,20,734/- on several counts.
