JUDGMENT :

S. Manikumar, J.

Instant writ appeal is filed against the judgment in W.P(C). No.15233 of 2017 dated 19.11.2019, by which the writ court declined to issue a writ of mandamus and directed M/s. India Info line Finance Ltd., respondent No.2, to release/handover possession of the vehicle BHARAT BARZ 1217C bearing registration No.KL-40 L-7178 to the petitioner forthwith. Writ court further declined to issue any direction to the Regional Transport Officer, respondent No.5, not to transfer registration of the vehicle in favour of respondent No.2, or any person working for it. Further direction sought was for directing the Station House Officer, respondent No.1, to take necessary measures for restoring possession of the vehicle BHARAT BARZ 1217C bearing registration No.KL-40 L-7178 to the petitioner.

Though the appellant has sought for the above directions, holding that the final award dated 13.04.2017 has to be challenged only before the court of competent jurisdiction and that when an alternate remedy is available, writ petition under Article 226 is not maintainable, writ petition has been dismissed. Being aggrieved, instant appeal is filed.
