JUDGMENT :
Heard Mr. Jitendra S. Singh, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Manoj Kumar Mishra, learned A.P.P. for the State.
2. This appeal is directed against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 21.12.2011 passed by Sri Om Prakash Pandey, learned Principal Sessions Judge, Gumla in Sessions Trial No. 15 of 2009, arising out of Bishunpur P.S. Case No. 26/2008, corresponding to G.R. Case No. 554/2008, whereby and whereunder the appellant has been convicted for the offences punishable u/s 302 of the IPC and Sections 3/4 of the Prevention of Witch Craft (Daain) Practices Act and has been sentenced to undergo R.I. for life along with a fine of Rs.20,000/- for the offence punishable u/s 302 of the IPC, R.I. for two months and a fine of Rs.1,000/- and R.I. for six months and a fine of Rs.2,000/- for the offence punishable u/s 3/4 respectively of the Prevention of Witch Craft (Daain) Practices Act.
