JUDGMENT :

1. The order of rejection dated 24.05.2018, rejecting the claim of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment is under challenge in the present writ petition. The father of the writ petitioner was employed as Sanitary Worker in the 3rd respondent office and died on 12.01.2011, while he was in service. On account of the sudden demise of the father of the writ petitioner, the family was in penurious circumstances.

2. The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the application seeking compassionate appointment was preferred by the writ petitioner on 18.02.2013 itself. However, the writ petitioner has not enclosed any acknowledgement in respect of the application made on 18.02.2013. On a perusal of the representation dated 18.02.2013, it is a representation and no proper application in the prescribed format was submitted to the Competent Authorities, seeking appointment on compassionate ground. A representation can be relied upon if the same is submitted to the Competent Authorities and the proof for such submission is filed before the Court of law.
