Instant appeal has been directed against the judgment of conviction dated 10.11.2006 and order of sentence dated 13.11.2006 passed by Special Judge (under The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985) (hereinafter referred to as 'NDPS Act') Jalandhar, whereby the appellant-accused had been held guilty for commission of offence punishable under Section 15 of NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 04 years and to pay fine of Rs. 10,000/- with default stipulation.
