JUDGMENT :
JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J.
This order shall dispose of two petitions bearing No.CRM-M- 54681-2025 titled as Amritpal Singh Versus State of Punjab and CRM-M- 54113-2025 titled as Lakhvir Singh Versus State of Punjab as the same are arising out of the same FIR. However, for the sake of convenience the facts have been taken from CRM-M-54681-2025.
2. The prayer in the present petitions under Section 483 BNSS, 2023 is for the grant of regular bail in case bearing FIR No.07 dated 06.01.2025 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 103(2), 61(2), 190 & 191(3) of BNS , 2023 at Police Station Phillaur, District Jalandhar Rural.
3. The present FIR came to be registered at the instance of Seema Rani W/o Jagtar Singh and the same reads as under:-
“Statement of Seema Rani wife of Jagtar Singh son
Bail granted on account of prolonged custody and lack of witness examination, emphasizing fair trial rights.
The court granted bail due to prolonged custody and lack of specific allegations against the petitioner, emphasizing that unnecessary incarceration should be avoided.
