1. There are two sets of writ petitions, the first set consisting of four writ petitions, has been filed by private engineering colleges and the other set of writ petitions, serially numbered as 4 and 5 above, has been filed by the students who are studying in those colleges/institute. Writ C No. 8770 of 2022, G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management vs. Union of India is the leading writ petition filed by the institute and in which the following reliefs have been prayed:
