Anil K. Narendran, J.

The petitioner, namely, Madayi Thiruvarkattukavu Devaswom, which is a controlled institution under the Malabar Devaswom Board, has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India through its Executive Officer, seeking a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to prevent unauthorised conduct of tea-shops/thattukadas/food-stalls, as seen in Ext.P14 series of photographs, which are illegally erected in the property of the Devaswom, and take legal action against the illegal erection of temporary stalls in violation of law and by trespassing into the Devaswom property, expeditiously within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The petitioner has also sought for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to remove the sheds erected in the Devaswom land and the waste dumped therein and to restore the Devaswom property to its original position, as expeditiously as possible, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court; a writ of mandamus commanding respondents 4 and 5 to afford adequate protection to the properties of Sree Madayi Thiruvarkattukavu Devaswom from the attack and illegal and unauthorised activities by unknown/known
