JUDGEMENT

Dated this the 28th day of May, 2024 The petitioner is the registered owner and permit holder of Stage Carriage bearing No.KL-07BX-6569, permitted to operate service on the route Attingal- Chadayamangalam, which permit is valid up to 04.04.2026.

2. The petitioner states that previous vehicle in respect of the above permit was KL-01-4242. This service was allowed to operate from Chadayamangalam up to Ayoor, which is only 3 Kms by virtue of Temporary Permit. The timings for the operation of the extended route was also issued. The petitioner submitted application for regular extension of his service, up to Ayoor. The said application is still pending.

3. Pending consideration of the same, the petitioner submitted application for Temporary Permit in the prescribed Form, in order to operate on the extended route in continuation of regular route, which is permissible as laid down by this Court in the decision in Balakrishna Travels v. RTO, Malappuram [ 1982 KLT 752 ].
