Introduction
[1] The appeal concerned the decision of the Magistrates' Court in convicting and sentencing the appellant/accused for possessing 18.43 grams of Methamphetamine, an offence under s 12(2) and punishable under s 39A(1)(r) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 ("the DDA ").
[2] The appellant was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment from the date of his conviction on 29 November 2022 and 3 strokes of whipping.
