1. This appeal is directed against an order dated 23rd August, 2018 passed by the Hon’ble Single Judge, thereby dismissing the writ petition being W.P. No. 683 of 2001 filed by the present appellant. In the writ petition, the appellant had challenged an order dated 27th February, 1997 passed by the learned 2nd Labour Court, West Bengal in a proceeding initiated by her against the respondents, the Capital Electronics and two others under Section 33 C (2) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.
2. The appellant/writ petitioner was employed by the respondent concern as a casual employee in 1979. Subsequently, disputes arose with regard to stock verification in the record section for which the appellant was suspended and thereafter, dismissed from service with effect from 7th July, 1982. She raised an industrial dispute and the learned 2nd Industrial Tribunal, West Bengal passed an award on 30th March, 1989, directing her reinstatement in service immediately, with full back wages.
