IMPORTANT POINT
An administrative error in recruitment does not create enforceable rights for employees regarding pay scales.

Headnote:

Pay - Personal Assistant - West Bengal Act (XIX) of 1997 - The court interpreted the provisions regarding grade pay and recruitment errors, concluding that the petitioners were not entitled to the higher grade pay due to administrative error, which was rectified as a fait accompli.
