Arun Kumar Goel, President—Facts of this case briefly stated are, that complainant visited DDU/Ripon Hospital, Shimla, on 10.7.2006 as she was feeling acute pain in her abdomen and was undergoing excessive discharge of blood during menstruation cycle. She was examined by opposite party No.2 who after examination prescribed medicines. When she did not get relief for her problem, she was advised by opposite party No.2 to undergo ultra-sono-gram test. It was diagnosed according to her, that she was having fibroids in her uterus and she was advised to undergo minor operation for their removal. For this purpose she was advised to report on 19.7.2006. So far complainant having visited the Hospital-opposite party No.1 and having been attended upon by opposite party No.2 as a doctor as also opposite party No.3 para medic on 19.7.2006 is concerned, it is not in dispute. According to the complainant with a view to anaesthetize her, she was given injections Phenergan and Fortwin. These were administered on her right forearm.
