1. The matter is listed in a special category by the office whereby an endeavour is being made to dispose of cases which are more than 30 years old.

2. This criminal appeal under Section 374 Cr.P.C. has been preferred claiming the following reliefs:

    “It is therefore most respectfully prayed that the judgment of learned Special Judge passed on 30.05.1992 in case No.53/1991 may kindly be set-aside and the appellant be acquitted from the charges in the interest of justice.”

3. The matter pertains to an incident which occurred in the year 1991 and the present appeal has been pending since the year 1992.

4. Mr. Gopal Singh Bhati, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the appellants submits that this Criminal Appeal has been preferred against the impugned judgment dated 30.05.1992, passed by the learned Special Judge, SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Jodhpur in Criminal Case No.53/1991, whereby the appellants were convicted for the offence under Sections 3 (i) (x) SC/ST Act and Section 4 (11) PCR Act, and sentenced as under:-
