This Court on 10.01.2014 passed a detailed order for creation of the Directorate of Prosecution in terms of Section 25-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Thereafter, on 23.08.2017 this Court has disapproved the practice of appointment of Public Prosecutors on contract basis and categorically held that it cannot be a post for appointment on contract basis as such the post is pivot for the administration of justice.
